Civilization 4 Gold and Warlords expansion together?

So i bought the Civilization 4 Gold Edition and Warlords expansion pack disk thing about a year ago...



Basically this is the desciption:

Includes Civilization IV Game of the Year %26amp; Civilation IV Warlords Expansion plus Bonus items



i downloaded it once and the gold edition game installed. A few months later, my computer went kapoot...haha... and i had to reinstall it.



When i installed it again, this time the warlords game downloaded, and it wasnt the same game i downloaded previously. i didn't understand what happened, because i did the same thing i did before, so i reinstalled it, but only the warlords one downloaded again.



I was wondering what happened, why it happened, and what should i do.

Nothing's really wrong with warlords, but I kind of thought the Gold Edition was a little better. thanksCivilization 4 Gold and Warlords expansion together?

Civilization IV ERROR while downloading?

I just bought Civilization IV (new) on Amazon. Toward the end of the installation proses, it gave me a message that I need to download some updates, so I did. It continued installing for a while longer and when it was almost done, it gave in an error message. I restarted my computer and tried to remove it from my programs so I could reinstall it, but it gives me this message:

Yes you do. It's not a stand alone game, like you said, it's an expansion pack. Expansion packs always require the original game that's being expanded. Hope that helped.

Is civilization IV still worth getting?

I have Civilization Revolution for the Xbox 360 and I love it. However, I realize that it's not the full civilization experience. I don't want to get Civ 5 because I've heard it's awful, plus my PC couldn't handle it. So I am wondering, is Civilization 4 still worth getting, or has it not aged well?
