First off, your city needs resources to grow. When it grows, other things produced becomes available faster. Lets say an archer? You'll be able to produce it faster. To get resources you need workers. Train them in your city. Once you trained them, move them over a resource. A simple way to find out is to use the show resource button at the button left left. Once you built your resources you can build roads to connect to your city. Again take the worker and when the options come up from the button. Select traderoute or something. While you're doing this you're going to be asked what you want to research. Just pick one. Then start building units and what nots. Been playing for a month now.

CIVILIZATION 4, please Help Me?
so i just bought civilization IV and was very excited about it. i played the original age of emipres growing up and thought this might be fun. however, getting started has proven nearly impossible. i cannot figure anything out whatsoever. i did the tutorial but it left so much out. i have no clue how to see how much it costs to do stuff, what all these symbols mean, how to understand the examine city page, how to attack cities, basically everything, i just don't get it. i mean it seems like i can just choose to build everything at once and just keep clicking end turn over and over. please, i spent $40 on this game and would like enjoy it. if you can provide me with some pretty basic information to get started and whatnot then I will personaly give you $1 million dollars cash (that's and outright lie btw). just assume that i know nothing in your exlanation, but also im a fairly smart person and can learn quickly. feel free to bash me for being a noob or whatever you call it, i dont play computer games very much, if ever. Happy Holidays and thank you very muchCIVILIZATION 4, please Help Me?
